    Job Description

    The key purpose of this role is to drive behaviors and results for DataScan related to critical areas of interest for Cyber Security and Compliance.   This is accomplished through the development and implementation of critical DataScan programs.  This position will initially focus on the programs outlined below, but the full population may change and/or grow over time with DataScan operations.

     

    This role is responsible for the InfoSec programs for DataScan.   The key areas of responsibility for each Cyber Security program includes;

    • Program Planning and Prioritization (impacted departments/associates, needs, requirements, risks, business impacts, etc…)
    • Program Design and Development (setup and operating details)
    • Program Documentation and Related Materials
    • Program Communications Throughout DataScan (awareness & marketing)
    • Program Execution (training, implementation, & testing)
    • Program Operations (monitoring for compliance, performance & service-level enforcement, consulting & issue resolutions, and reporting)

     Daily Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

    • Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls
    • Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction
    • Maintain data and monitor security access
    • Conduct internal and external security assessments
    • Manage network, intrusion detection and prevention systems
    • Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause
    • Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures
    • Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies
    • Security awareness training
    • Coordinate security plans with outside vendors
    • Provide overall and general Cyber Security consulting and advice

    In addition to program delivery specific responsibilities, this role will also have areas of standard Cyber Security responsibility that include but are not limited to;

    • Plan, implement and upgrade security measures and controls

    • Define, implement and maintain corporate security policies
    • Security awareness training
    • Coordinate security plans with outside vendors
    • Manages and participates in projects ensuring alignment to information security policy and standards.
    • Guides the management of technology risk, security and compliance standards, policies and procedural documentation.
    • Partners with IT, Business Compliance, Legal and HR representatives to ensure that all technology information security, risk and compliance controls adequately meet business compliance requirements.
    • Responsible for working with Technical Engineers, Vendors, SME’s, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to provide input into technical and functional compliance requirements if necessary.
    • Advises and provides awareness and training in the subjects of cyber security, risk and compliance best practices.
    • Creates and facilitates risk tracking and mitigation reports and metrics to help guide strategic information security needs.
    • Responsible for driving compliance to JM Family identified security frameworks and practices.
    • Partner with the business in support of customer related security and compliance activities including presentations to business customers several times per year.
    • Ensure compliance related activity documentation is maintained throughout the year.

    Job Requirements

    A well-qualified candidate for this position would meet the following qualifications;

    • BS in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field is highly desirable
    • 3+ years of work experience in an Cyber Security related position
    • Experience and familiarity working within a software development organization
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience running projects from concept to completion, project management methodologies, and the software development lifecycle
    • Exceptional writing and overall communication skills across all management levels
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills
    • Proven ability to work productively and efficiently in an independent setting
    • Initiative and innovative abilities to develop processes and programs across an organization
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
    • Familiarity with industry standards such as; National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), etc…
